Frollies – Smoothie on a Stick. The latest offering from the Strings & Things brand

Wow Me were tasked with creating food packaging design for the new Frollies, smoothie on a stick.

“Would you rather have wings for arms, or flippers for feet?”

It’s just one of the crazy, fun situations that we’ve created for Strings & Things Frollies – a fruit smoothie on a stick that’s sure to go down a storm in kids’ lunch boxes.

Wow Me worked closely with the Kerry Dairy Consumer Foods Innovation Team to help bring the Frollies proposition to life creating the inner pods ensuring that this newly developed product was engaging and appealing to both parents and kids.

The creative also needed to align to the current String & Things product range with consistent tone, language and key visual elements.

In home the graphics of the individual products could be totally kid focused. Insight told us that kids don’t like to be told how to have fun but would rather discover it by themselves and on their own terms.

3 categories of engagement were developed; ‘what would you rather?’,  ‘a fruity situation’ and ‘a fruity quiz’. They were carefully crafted to be more open ended in their responses, not defining the rules of fun but designed to kick-start kids’ imaginations.

The first flavour to launch was Frollies Strawberry & Banana with more varieties to follow.
